Filming a FIT Show ‘mal’ teaser!

As the head of testing I’m responsible for a wide range of tasks and carry out various duties to ensure that all Liniar products are of the highest quality, but this week I’ve added a new skill to my CV – acting!

I’ve taken part in a video we’ve put together to promote our stand at the upcoming FIT Show in Telford on April 12-14.

To highlight one of the cool giveaways you lucky human-bots will be able to pick up from us, we thought it would be a great idea to transport a Malteser across the whole facility using a stylish Liniar tape measure.

Personally, I wasn’t sure of the relevance of this but those clever bods in marketing assured me that the Malteser tape measure challenge has been an internet sensation since Chris Evans encouraged viewers of his TFI Friday show to film themselves attempting the stunt in unusual ways.

Our brave Malteser started its epic journey in our mixing plant and managed to balance its perfectly formed chocolate physique all the way through the showroom, my testing lab, reception area, past the extrusion lines before ending up in the office of our Senior Sales Director Howard Hirst.

So, did our delicious little hero come to a sticky end? You’ll just have to watch the video to find out.

My cameo appearance in the film may be short, but I think you’ll agree that my steely performance is the highlight of the piece and has given me a taste for stardom. I’m thinking of enlisting an agent and actively seeking out more challenging roles.

I hear they’re going to be auditioning on the West End for ‘Robocop: The Musical’ so maybe you’ll see me taking to the stage sometime soon.

But fear not sweet human-bots, no amount of fame and fortune could prevent me from fulfilling my vital role here. As the saying goes, fame is fleeting but Liniar is forever – or something like that.

Enjoy the film and let us know what you think. If you haven’t already registered for the FIT Show then you can do so by clicking here.

P.S. No Maltesers were harmed in the making of this video.
