Broadoake M1 supplies Liniar Bi-fold to car showroom

As well as being ideal for installation in domestic properties, it can also be used to create openings in business properties such as car showrooms.

Fabricator Broadoake M1 recently supplied Liniar Bi-Fold Plus for installation in a car showroom. The 5-5-0 configured bi-fold door, with an opening of four and a half metres, was installed at the showroom of Motor Seeker in Chesterfield. The installation was carried out by Broadoake’s customer TM Glass & Glazing.

Broadoake Director Steven Weston says: “Bi-Fold Plus was ideal for this installation because of its ultra-low threshold. The customer wanted to be able to drive cars through the showroom without doing any damage. Bi-Fold Plus has an ultra low threshold with an aluminium tray for it to sit in. This means access is easier compared to other PVC-U bi-fold doors. The feedback we’ve had from the customer has been excellent – they’re really happy with the end result.”

Broadoake has fabricated Liniar for two years. It switched to Liniar as the profile made it easier to get Window Energy Ratings (WERs). Steven adds: “Liniar’s profile is modern and much more thermally efficient. We also get a much better service from the staff as they are very customer orientated.

“Bi-Fold Plus is the only bi-fold door we offer and it’s the first one we’ve fabricated ourselves. It is a market we were looking into but we decided to hold off until Liniar Bi-Fold Plus was launched because it looked a much better option. It’s easier to fabricate and looks much better than first generation bi-fold doors because there is less plastic and the bespoke hardware is less bulky making it more attractive. In my opinion, Bi-Fold Plus is far superior to other bi-fold doors. There is a lot of interest in bi-fold doors and they are a great alternative to patio or French doors. The feedback we’ve had from our customers has been very encouraging and we expect sales to grow as more people see the benefit of installing a good looking bi-fold door.”
