The products and the people: New Liniar website goes live

Innovative systems house Liniar is proud to announce the launch of its brand new website, which not only showcases its impressive range of uPVC products but also the talented team of people behind them.

Just like Liniar’s window profile, the new website was designed from scratch after going back to the drawing board to determine its purpose and objectives. And with a responsive design to make it tablet and mobile friendly, it’s the perfect way for visitors to find the information they need whether they’re in the office, at home, or out and about.

The stunning new website is fully optimised for search engines across all Liniar’s key search terms, and in addition has been specifically designed to make it simple for visitors to navigate.

With a wider array of market sectors than most, it was a challenge to deliver the right content to the right visitor. To address this, the homepage has been divided into sectors for quick navigation, whilst visitors wanting to discover product information can find this from the main navigation menu.

There are lots of goodies for Liniar customers, including an enhanced version of the popular media centre – this contains the most up-to-date versions of Liniar marketing collateral including brochures, newsletters, literature, wall charts, posters, accreditation certificates and a wide range of superb images.

Individual product pages contain 3D computer-generated images of each item with a colour grid showing the stocked colours available. Click on a colour and the image changes to show the product in the chosen colour – then hover over the images to view its unique selling points. Each page is packed with information, with handy links to visit other products in the Liniar range.

A new and improved video library makes it simple for visitors to find the video they need. Sorted into categories, each video has ‘share’ links to enable them to be shared easily across social media. A wide range of documents is available from the downloads section, with filters to make it easy to find what you need.

Architects and specifiers wishing to find out more about Liniar profiles can go to the Specifiers Centre where they’ll find links to Liniar’s WER calculator, online specification guide, commercial case studies and other technical information. And the History page shows the steps leading to Liniar’s success and the gravitas behind the brand.

The exciting launch of Liniar’s installation supplies range is also fully covered in a brand new section showing all of the products available – Click here for more details.

“I think the secret behind a successful website lies in the planning, in order to deliver the best possible user experience,” says Sue Davenport, Liniar Marketing Director. “We spent lots of time sketching out the sitemap and working out who needed what information, so we knew what we wanted before we even engaged a website provider.

“We chose to work with ICAAL as they had a great track record, a huge amount of windows industry knowledge and expertise in Search Engine Optimisation. In addition ICAAL offered the flexibility to help us bring our own page designs to life, which ensures the website has the exact look and feel we wanted to achieve.

“Having a clear strategic vision really helped as the project got underway, as it meant we could refer back to our objectives when it came to daily decisions when building the site. ICAAL’s consultancy skills were invaluable, in addition to offering a collaborative approach with support at every step of the way, and we’re delighted with the outcome.”

One of the most important requirements of the website was creating it to be fully editable in-house for maximum flexibility. In addition, a bespoke CMS and CRM are integrated into the site, giving Liniar additional visibility, functionality and control.

The Liniar marketing team has really pulled out the stops, creating 34 different page templates, writing 79,000 words of copy and resizing and uploading more than 1,200 images – with staff from other departments getting involved in the final stages to meticulously check every detail, so the new website has been a real team effort from Liniar.

Sue explains:

“As well as showcasing Liniar’s product range and explaining the benefits of each, we were also very keen to show the people behind the company. We’re well aware that this industry is very much a people industry, so we wanted to highlight the excellent team we have at Liniar with our ‘meet the team’ and ‘a day in the life of…’ pages.

“We’re very proud of the new website and look forward to receiving feedback from customers and consumers alike.”
