Love Liniar Competiton

The 2019 FIT Show may be four months away, but before we know it, it will be upon us! In the interim, industry-leading systems company, Liniar, has given us yet another thing to look forward to with the announcement of its Love Liniar Competition and a prize worth £500 up for grabs!

The competition isn’t aimed at gathering more social media followers or getting people to visit Liniar’s stand at the FIT Show. Liniar’s competition is firmly aimed at showcasing the fantastic installations that fitters have achieved using Liniar products, and increasing its image library in the process.

This competition highlights the issue many systems companies face when they don’t compete with customers or have direct contact with installers; resulting in a lack of images and collateral for brochures, websites and customer requests. When a new product is launched, the quickest way to raise awareness in the marketplace is with beautiful images – which benefits everyone in the supply chain.

When Liniar introduced the Live Chat system to its website, the marketing team was faced with an overwhelming number of customers, potential customers and homeowners reaching out in search of examples of Liniar products in a specific colour, as well as brochures and literature featuring products in the whole colour range. Consumers need to be able to visualize a product in situ before making up their minds, so the more images on file, the better equipped the systems company is to help.

From producing case studies and new brochures to building a full media library, Liniar has always been proud of its customer support and promoting individual fabricators’ and installers’ work. The Love Liniar competition is an extension of this, and is about more than just showing off Liniar’s cutting-edge product range and innovation in the industry.

Sue Davenport, Liniar’s Marketing Director, explains: “We often get to hear about an interesting installation, but everyone in the industry is so busy. It can be difficult to get in touch with the installer. Once a job is finished, it may not have been landscaped, or furnished inside, and the installer rarely has time to go back and revisit jobs as they’re onto the next. This means quality photographs are a rarity, even though we know there are lots of great projects out there. The Love Liniar competitions’ goal is to alleviate the back and forth, and get some of our customers into the limelight, as well as giving them the results of a professional photo shoot to use in their own marketing materials. It will also help us to develop more marketing resources for the benefit of the whole supply chain.”

Liniar’s competition launched the first week of December, and submissions will be accepted via social media until 23:59 GMT, 31 March 2019.

Everyone can take part in the competition – apart from Liniar and Avantek employees. Jobs must feature products from the Liniar range, including (but not limited to): PVCu windows, Alumina bi-fold doors, PVCu bi-fold doors, patio and French doors, conservatory and lantern roofs, decking, fencing and plastic piling. All submissions but include the competition hashtags #LoveLiniar and #sharetheLiniarLove, and entrants must be following Liniar on social media.

All submissions will then pass to a panel of Liniar judges who will choose a selection of finalists. Finalists will be contacted to arrange a professional photo shoot, and the best images from each will be uploaded onto Liniar’s main social media platforms, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, for a public vote to determine the winner.

The winner of the social media vote will be contacted via DM, and the outcome announced on the Liniar stand during the 2019 FIT Show. The winner will receive a £500 Red Letter Days experience voucher. Sue Davenport explained, “We’re hoping to get everyone from installation teams to architects involved, so we decided to give something away that an individual or a team could use.”
