Coast and Country Resort’s 55-acre Watermill Leisure Park is located on the edge of the picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds and offers a dream setting for holiday home ownership.
Directors Simon Clarke and Ben Caplan recently made a significant investment in developing the park with the addition of Woodland Waters, a new area comprising luxurious holiday homes encircling a tranquil lake.
Visualising the Dream
When showcasing ownership options during the project’s early stages, it was crucial to ensure discerning customers could clearly visualise their future property’s potential and imagine themselves enjoying everything the park has to offer.
Simon explains, “We decided an elevated viewing platform overlooking the entire development would be the perfect solution and contacted established working partner GG Leisure’s General Manager Paul Smith to design and build it.”
Discussing his approach, Paul says, “Since the platform would be exposed to the elements and near the waterfront, PVCu was the obvious choice for the fencing, balustrades and deck as it doesn’t absorb moisture, rot or rust, and is very low maintenance.
With over 15 years’ experience of working with Liniar’s PVCu outdoor range, which includes installing over 50 high-end decking areas for holiday homes on Watermill Leisure Park, I knew the SwitchBoard composite decking system would be ideal for the project.
A great success
Completed in the spring, the platform proved excellent for viewings – and in addition, a touchpoint with the same superior building materials and quality workmanship featured on each luxury property, helping the first 12 pitches on phase 1 sell out quickly.
Woodland Waters is now receiving amazing feedback from new holiday homeowners. The next phase
As the development enters the next phase, Coast and Country’s Simon and Ben are working closely with Paul to make sure each luxury lodge is prepared for the customer to exacting standards.
Simon explains, “Once the lodges are delivered Paul and his team add impressive decking areas designed by our customers, using Liniar SwitchBoard deckboards complemented with fully sculptured Liniar balustrade, providing a seamless integration of indoor and outdoor living spaces. Everything is progressing smoothly and efficiently, benefitting from our longstanding relationship and the experience and expertise we’ve accumulated working together on our existing holiday parks.”
