So Easy To Fit

North East Conservatory Solutions is an owner-managed business in Gateshead, Newcastle, providing bespoke conservatory roofs to windows manufacturers and installers since 2007.

Owner Andy Kerr, a former conservatory installer for some of the North East’s premier conservatory companies, set up his own business prior to the recession – a risky move in hindsight, but one that’s proved to have paid off handsomely. The business has seen fantastic growth over the past few years in a depressed market, and Andy credits much of this success to choosing the Liniar Zoom conservatory roof system.

Easy to fit

Having installed many different roof brands alongside his father, Andy settled on the Liniar Zoom roof system right from the start of his fledgling business.

“I really liked the Zoom system as it was so easy to fit, compared to other roofs,” explains Andy. “After working with so many different brands of system, we really noticed a difference with the speed of installation overall. The patented Glazing Stop retainer is excellent and eliminates 100% of glazing slip – putting the Liniar Zoom roof head and shoulders above the competition, in my opinion.”

Competitive edge

As a start-up firm, North East Conservatory Solutions was able to offer new, innovative solutions to customers, and the Liniar Zoom was perfectly placed to help differentiate the firm from its competitors.

“People were bored with the ‘old kids on the block’, who’d been offering the same roofing solutions around the area for many years,” comments Andy. “We arrived at the start of the recession and really broke the mould; looking back, it was exactly the right time for people to try something different and look at alternatives to moving home.”

Less to go wrong

Installers themselves absolutely love the Liniar Zoom roof, according to Andy. Most installers are taken by surprise the first time they install the roof, both by the quality and by how simple and fast it is to fit.

“The roof has been designed with many parts being interchangeable – this means that there’s much more flexibility on site when it comes to making sure they have all the necessary parts.” Andy continues. “For example, there is only one ring beam and one ridge with Zoom, where most other systems have different parts for different sections of the roof. Simplicity is the key and the Liniar Zoom designers have built this in wherever they can.”

Peace of mind

“In addition the installer has much greater peace of mind that there will be no glazing slippage; nothing will move post-fit and therefore there are unlikely to be any after-sales issues.

“Customers are generally delighted with their new roof, and this has meant installers are returning to us for the Liniar Zoom system time after time – they know it’s hassle-free.”

A serious player

Andy sums up with the following:

“We’ve grown into a successful business over the last six years using the Liniar Zoom roof, and we see it becoming a serious player in the marketplace – particularly in light of the expected innovative

developments coming from Liniar in the near future.”
