16 January 2020 was a day to remember for Liniar and Avantek Machinery’s Group Managing Director Martin Thurley. That particular Thursday marked the occasion Martin visited the New York Stock Exchange to take part in the ceremonial ringing of the bell to signal the start of trading.
The reason for the momentous occasion was that January 2020 marked parent company Quanex’s 55th year being listed on the prestigious New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: NX).
Martin joined the Executive Management Team of Quanex Building Products to ring the bell as one, cohesive team. The day was also special for George Wilson, recently announced as succeeding Bill Griffiths as Quanex President and CEO.
Of the events in the Big Apple, Martin commented:
“It was a real privilege to represent the fantastic teams we have here at Liniar and Avantek – overall, a very special day, both personally and professionally!”
