Work starts on £multimillion investment in new mixing plant for Liniar

Industry-leading PVCu systems company Liniar will break ground on a new £multimillion mixing plant in early January 2022.

The new facility will mirror the existing PVCu mixing plant (already one of the largest in Europe) and run in tandem. Using the very latest technology, the new mixing plant will enable Liniar to switch between rigid and foam products, which not only increases capacity, but also enhances operational flexibility – all linked to providing excellent customer service.

The build will help future-proof Liniar for the next 20 years, whilst ensuring continued innovation in new products and manufacturing processes and delivering ‘best in class’ customer service across the fenestration, landscaping and outdoor markets it serves.

Martin Thurley, Group Managing Director commented, “As a business, we believe in long term sustainable growth, supported by our parent company, Quanex. In order to maintain this, we must continue to invest in both the infrastructure of the business and the latest technology, whilst ensuring that our team have a first-class facility that we are all proud of.
“2021 has been a fantastic year for Liniar and the investment in the new mixing plant will further support our steady ship as we move the business forward by preparing for the next phase of growth.”

The new mixing plant is due to be operational from August 2022.
