The ModLok can span up to 7 panes wide and features a patented aluminium outer casing, or exoskeleton, with a multi-chambered uPVC core, resulting in superb strength and stability - as well as Secured By Design security.
Aluminium Bi-Fold Doors
Liniar has applied it's design and development expertise to creating a unique Aluminium door system, Alumina. With bi-fold doors able to comprise up to 7 panes with a maximum width of 8.5m and panes as high as 2.5m, Alumina includes an innovative thermal lock to prevent the transfer of heat and save energy. Doors can be foiled in a wide range of colours for a warm-touch exterior, and achieve Secured By Design security standards.

What is a bi-folding door?

Bi-folding doors are especially popular for their ability to seamlessly transition between indoor and outdoor areas, while also maximising natural light and providing easy access.
How many panes can you have and how much space can you use?
It depends on your choice of bi-fold door system. With the Alumina range, doors can span from 2 to 7 panes in width, and the individual sashes (panes) can be as high as 2.5m and as wide as 1.2m. All Liniar bi-fold doors have been fully tested and approved at their largest size, ensuring durability and strength for consumers.
Do uPVC bi-fold doors require a lot of maintenance?
Rest assured, maintaining the allure of your Liniar bi-fold doors is hassle-free. Unlike timber doors, no yearly treatment or painting is necessary for upkeep. Liniar's 10-year frame guarantee ensures colour longevity. Just give them an occasional clean with soapy water and annual oiling for smooth operation.
Do Liniar bi-folds have the option to open either inwards or outwards?
The panes can be configured to suit the layout of your home or garden, accommodating either direction of opening.
Can I have bi-fold doors that fold back to each side?

Should I choose a bi-fold door made from uPVC or aluminium?
This decision comes down to the project, location and the intended usage for the bi-folding doors. For smaller apertures the Liniar Standard PVCu bi-fold will fulfil most applications. For doors with more traffic and wider openings, take a look at the ModLok™ PVCu bi-fold system (which combines PVCu with aluminium reinforcement). Or for the ultimate in heavy duty use, spanning up to 7 panes wide, choose Alumina fully aluminium bi-folds
