Customer experience remains top priority with new Europlas Winsford branch

Europlas (PVCu) Ltd is a leading supplier of the Liniar PVCu system, working closely with both R & V Group factories, based in North and South Wales, and distributing to its network of trade counters. In addition to windows and doors Europlas offers the trade and public a wide range of building products and ancillaries from top brands. Each branch is staffed by hand-picked team members dedicated to delivering personalised client attention.

We recently caught up with Europlas Managing Director Simon Lomax for an update on the newly opened Winsford branch, as well as discussing the company’s ethos and approach to expansion.

A Strategy for sustainable growth

Simon tells us, “Europlas Winsford will be our seventh branch and its core products will be windows and doors. This gives us a base for growth and development, while our expansive building products, ancillaries and consumables ranges allow us to fully support customers with everything typically needed for a project – helping to ensure diversified revenue streams to support the business.

“As a strategy we always focus on finding great people first, it’s crucial the Europlas team comprises members with the right attitude and experience. We’re very happy to have Andy Jewkes on board as Winsford’s Branch Manager. He’s been in the industry for many years and has the knowledge and experience to provide leadership, drive growth and guarantee delivery of the exceptional levels of customer service we pride ourselves on.”

With its manager in place, Simon explains what Europlas looks for in an ideal location.

“The majority of our branches are next to a Screwfix or Toolstation, Winsford included. It’s on a brand-new estate and represents a big investment for us. Artis Park is a prime location enjoying a high footfall of tradespeople, builders and DIYers, with the Europlas sign being one of the first things you see on entering. It’s great!

“We have our strategy for growth in place, with several locations already selected, aligned with our recruitment and supplier partners. A focus on servicing small to medium customers within localised areas means the company can operate efficiently at current production capacity, manage accounts well and build close, meaningful relationships – all while giving customers the best experience possible.”

Partnering with Liniar

Europlas offers the full suite of Liniar products including both PVCu and aluminium windows and doors, conservatories, PVCu composite decking, and a roofline range comprising fascias, soffits and cladding.

Having used Liniar as a primary supplier for over 8 years, Simon explains his continued commitment to the partnership.

“Liniar’s multi-chambered profile is extremely versatile and one of the best on the market. There are options to suite every situation and budget, for example, profiles with different levels of insulation depending on the number of chambers you choose.

“It’s a nice neutral white too with many different window and door styles on offer – plus the roofline and decking ranges mean you’ve got a comprehensive, matching product range. Then there’s details like the superior bead Liniar’s designed, which the installers find very easy to work with. All these little things add up and provide a positive experience for the trade guys working with the products daily.”

Going Digital

As part of its expansion Europlas is improving visibility across multiple channels, including online.

Europlas Marketing Manager Brad Key tells us, “In the past, Europlas has relied on traditional advertising methods such as local magazines and press to raise brand awareness. We recognise that the world of marketing is constantly evolving and for us to stay competitive, we need to take advantage of the latest, digital advertising strategies. This is an exciting time for our business as we are going to be able to increase our exposure and brand awareness within the industry. We will now be spending time on email campaigns and putting our social media channels to better use to reach a wider audience and engage with our customers more effectively.

“We understand the value of the tools that we have available to interact with our current customers, generate leads and showcase our products and are very much looking forward to implementing these different strategies. Our expansion plans include an online store for retail customers, and we believe implementing cutting-edge digital advertising strategies will play a large role in making the project a success.”

A reliable and supportive supplier

Over the years, Operations Director Gavin Burton has been instrumental in developing the relationship between Europlas and Liniar.

Gavin tells us, “One of the reasons the relationship has flourished is because both companies believe in doing business the same way. Liniar offers good lead times and always on time in full delivery, which in turn allows us to provide our own customers with reliable service.

“We also get excellent support from Liniar’s Technical and Customer Relations departments, which combined with our team’s own knowledge and experience, means we can offer Europlas customers well-informed advice and insight.”

A recipe for success

Simon concludes, “At Europlas we believe in setting ourselves apart from our competitors by delivering the best possible customer experience and recognising and rewarding our staff for delivering it. We take care in selecting the best products on the market, and never making promises to our customers that we can’t keep!”
