The Mixing Plant Operative will be responsible for the efficient operation and monitoring of the mixing process, operating a fully automatic batching system. The role involves mixing various raw material ingredients together into finished blends, which supply our Extrusion department via internal silos/hoppers or bulk bag.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Observe all health and safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently
- Carry out daily tasks in the mixing plant with consistent speed and accuracy
- Operate machinery safely and effectively, in line with the correct operating procedures
- Accept delivery of incoming raw materials and ensure the correct stock management process is followed
- Ensure that all required quality checks are carried out as per the company standards
- Understand and follow the production schedules
- Ensure that mixing plant data is logged efficiently and accurately on the system
- Work cooperatively with the team to meet customer requirements and team targets
Key skills & Knowledge:
- Basic computer skills (SAP knowledge)
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Good communication and listening skills
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to self-motivate
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially the uPVC industry would be beneficial – but training will be provided
- Previous experience of working in manufacturing / uPVC / extrusion would be beneficial
- FLT license would be beneficial

Hours of Work
Continental Night Shift pattern 5:30p.m. - 5:30a.m. 4 on, 4 off.
