Liniar and R&V strengthen long-term partnership with new five-year, multi-million-pound supply agreement.
Quanex company, Liniar, is pleased to announce the signing of a significant new five-year supply agreement with long-standing customer R&V, marking the latest chapter in a partnership that began in 2012. The multi-million-pound deal, valued at more than £20 million over its term, further cements the alignment between the two companies as R&V continues to grow its manufacturing capabilities and expand its footprint within the UK housebuilding sector.
Buckley-based R&V has recently invested close to £1 million in new machinery, supplied by Liniar’s sister company Avantek Machinery, to support the launch of an additional manufacturing facility positioned alongside its existing site. This expansion will bring the total number of factories fabricating Liniar products for R&V to three, enabling the business to increase capacity and maintain the service levels relied upon by major housebuilders including Taylor Wimpey and Barratt Redrow. The company’s ability to deliver quality products at scale has long mirrored Liniar’s own commitment to reliability, performance and ongoing innovation.
Kevin McClure, Managing Director of R&V, highlighted the depth of the relationship built over more than a decade. “Throughout over a decade dealing with Liniar as a supplier-partner they have proven themselves consistently reliable and have an impressive On Time, In Full track record,” he said. “Their profiles are great to work with, and products like the EnergyPlus 70mm system make it easy for us to comply with building regulations cost effectively. The team deliver on their promises, which means R&V have everything we need to respond to the demanding requirements of house builders.”
Kevin also praised the support provided by the Avantek team. “R&V operate a planned preventative maintenance programme to ensure optimum manufacturing efficiency and quality at all times, and if we ever need guidance, members of the Avantek Field Engineering team are always responsive, providing timely communication and support whether remotely or face-to-face.”
As the new agreement begins, it also marks a moment of transition within the R&V and Europlas Group leadership. Kevin is preparing to hand over the reins to Simon Lomax, who will soon step into the role of Group Managing Director. Reflecting on the journey ahead, Simon commented: “Kev has played a pivotal role in taking the business to where it is. It’s been an honour to work alongside him, and I’m excited to step up to the mantle as Group MD and ensure the success and growth of R&V Europlas continues into the foreseeable future.”
Jason Bird, Regional Sales Director at Liniar, helped broker the deal and says, “We’re delighted to enter this mutually beneficial agreement and look forward to working with R&V to continue driving strategic growth.”
The strengthened partnership underscores both companies’ shared commitment to quality, reliability and sustained growth, laying a strong foundation for the years to come.
