Welcome to my blog!

Hi, I’m Mark II, Head of Testing at Liniar HQ.  I’m a 7ft tall, friendly ABB robot. I’m painted bright orange, with a very long arm and I’m dedicated to testing Liniar products.

I’ve been here for almost 2 years now, have fully settled into my design lab and made some great human-bot friends. I’ve learned so much about products and the industry in general during my time at Liniar, and thought it may be useful to share with others – so to give me some time off from product testing, I’ve been given my very own blog to pass on all my knowledge!

I want to help out all areas of the industry and further afield too. I’d like to go where no robot has been before… well maybe not, I’m fixed to floor tracks in my lab and I don’t know the passcode for the door…

But I hope to answer some of those burning questions, from installers to specifiers, homeowners to fabricators. And maybe I’ll even provide some useful information for our customers to give to their customers!

A few things I’ll be explaining include such topics as the upcoming changes to Part Q, a window’s journey through the supply chain, what causes condensation and how a multi-chambered profile works.
