Liniar – Fit for the future

With the largest exhibitor presence at the FIT Show, Liniar knew that all eyes would be on its stands this year. Combine that with sponsoring the Master Fitter Challenge final, and the innovative systems house had its work cut out – but luckily, didn’t disappoint!.

The two impressive stands in Hall 3 at Telford were fully utilised to showcase the full range of innovative Liniar products available, many of which were brand new to the industry. The stands were hard to miss thanks to the lime green, contemporary and eye-catching design – including the Liniar logo “snakes” suspended above the stands to join them together.Visitors were able to learn more about Liniar’s thermally efficient system and get up close and personal with products including the ModLok™ bi-fold doors (now cycle-tested to over 120,000 full opening sequences!), the timber alternative Flush Sash casement window, the latest inline sliding patio door, the Liniar Zoom conservatory roof with all its latest updates, and many more.Liniar’s ‘FIT for the Future’ theme continued throughout the stand design itself, with technology playing a big part in this year’s stands. iPads were used for literature displays; a cutting-edge 3D animated video created a talking point and a clever way to introduce the Liniar profile; a revolving roof drew people onto the stand – and the team even found a way to bring along their testing robot, ‘Mark II’!

One feature of the stand that couldn’t be missed was the brand new Supercut machining and cutting centre. Jointly developed by the Liniar team and Wegoma, the Supercut marks the start of a new era in the supply of world class machinery for the industry, with the team also making full use of a further Wegoma Machinery Sales stand in Hall 1.

One fabricator was so impressed, they signed up to Liniar then and there on the stand; Leicester-based Eco Plastic Wood join Liniar’s growing list of customers.

Sponsoring the Master Fitter Challenge finals meant installers who’d never used Liniar before could get hands-on with the system, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

“The finalists were really impressed with the unique Liniar glazing platforms, which make it much easier to install the glass into the frames,” explained Liniar’s technical expert Marc Wilcoxson, who was the GQA’s main contact for Liniar during the competition final.

“Fitters also commented how simple the beading was, compared to other systems, as well as being very complimentary about the overall finish and aesthetics of the finished products.”

Andy Carrington from competition organisers GQA Qualifications, commented:

“Liniar’s support was fantastic; I could not have wished for better. The product spoke for itself and I know the installers were very impressed also.”
