Liniar Launches New Online Calculator

Based on over 2,000 thermal simulations, the new calculator provides accurate Window Energy Rating values for Liniar casement, and tilt and turn products.

Available at www.liniar.co.uk the new calculator is easy to use; simply select options from the range of drop-down boxes and you will instantly see the rating that your combination of frame and glazed unit can achieve.
No thermal inserts are required and all combinations meet the BS7950 and Secured by Design specification. It includes the full range of Liniar profiles: Chamfered, Sculptured and EnergyPlus.
The calculator is completely free to use, and you don’t need to log on to gain access to it. You can enter as many configurations as you wish until you work out the best combination for your requirements. Once you’ve configured your window and calculated the best combination to achieve your desired rating, you can then contact us to produce a full simulation report.
The calculator has been built by our newest addition to the Technical team at Liniar, Andy Gibson. Andy comments: “We often get asked to produce reports for fabricators, who then change the components to improve the rating. Understandably they want to see what they’d achieve with a different type of glazed unit, or a different spacer bar, but this can be a lengthy process, especially when you have over 150 customers!We realised that we could help our fabricators, and indeed the technical team, by creating an online tool where the configurations could be changed as many times as they wanted, and they could instantly see what affect that has on the WER they’d achieve.

We are really pleased with the new calculator and the initial feedback we’ve had so far has been great.”
